Apple bowl
₪1,999.00
Moulded from apples and slip-casted with stoneware clay, with an iron-based glaze
Dimensions: approx. Ø 30 cm x H 10 cm
Each piece is hand-made and can therefore have slight variations in shape, colour and size. All products are dishwasher safe and foodsafe, but they need care and I recommend washing by hand
I was inspired by a cluster of apples growing together on one branch. Their surface formed a small bowl, so I decided to sculpt a bigger bowl and cast it
This playful object returns me to my childhood memories collecting apples on our dacha, with this memory frozen as well as distorted in the slip-casting process. The apples bordering an uncanny feeling of being similar to the original, but not close enough
